Prezzo, Victoria
Capsule review
Garlic bread was hard, brittle and uninspired.
Calamari reformed into a Jenga of limp cuboids.
Spaghetti alla Carbonara enrobed in a tasteless sauce and fatty lardons. I ask Prezzo what I find myself asking more and more frequently, ‘Where’s the pancetta?’
Lobster and crab tortelli took the spirit of al dente a bit(e) too far.
Cheesecake so sickly Sardanapallus would send it back.
Service was exceptionally slow. The place doesn’t even offer value for money.
Suffice to say the experience left me yearning for the mediocrity of Carluccio’s..

Not what you would normally expect from a Prezzo, there standards and service can vary but are you can usually rely on the place for a pleasant enough dining experience. Usually being the operative word, all it takes is one experience like this to put you off the whole franchise.
